Born in Correggio, He studied painting were influenced by Andrea Mantegna and Leonardo da Vinci. after settling in Parma in 1518, Correggio painted his first set of frescoes in the Abbess's Salon of Convent of San Paolo. This Old Painting is called Venus with Mercury and Cupid. This is a mythological painting. This is One out of the six erotic paingint on mythological themes made by Correggio for Federico II Gonzaga.. The blurred contours, veiled transitions from rosy shadow to gold and white highlght and from fresh to feather I really like the detail in this painting. IT seem so Real and i get the vibe of holyness but yet again its that Dark background that makes me rethink
