Renaissance

Artist:Correggio, Antonio Allegri
Time:1489-1534
Italy, High Renaissance

Correggio, whose real name was Antonio Allegru, was an Italian Renaissance painter whose innovations in depicting space and movement anticipated the baroque style. Born in Correggio, He studied painting were influenced by Andrea Mantegna and Leonardo da Vinci. after settling in Parma in 1518, Correggio painted his first set of frescoes in the Abbess's Salon of Convent of San Paolo. Correggio paintings are characterized  by sensuous nude figures, colors that have a cool, silvery sheen, great skill in foreshortening, and originality of  perspective. 40 of his paintings exist up to this day, representing religious and mythological subjects.
This Old Painting is called Venus with Mercury and Cupid. This is a mythological painting. This is One out of the six erotic paingint on mythological themes made by Correggio for Federico II Gonzaga.. The blurred contours, veiled  transitions from rosy shadow to gold and white highlght and from fresh to feather I really like the detail in this painting. IT seem so Real and i get the vibe of holyness but yet again its that Dark background that makes me rethink

Renaissance

Artist: Masaccio
Time:1401-1428
Artist

Masaccio born in 1401at San Giovanni Valdarno,Republic of Florence. Real name is Tommaso di Ser Giovanni di Mone Cassai.Nationality Italian. His work is Painting and Fresco. Perhaps one of the most influential artist of the Renaissance.MAny claim that he,along with Donatello and Brunelleschi, inspired the sytyle of art that typifies art of the period. At Age 17 he developed a style that used perspective in a way that can created an illusion of three dimensions-A signuifcant change from the flat style paonting that typified medieval art. His most famous work can be found at the Brancacci Chapel in Santa Maria del Carmine in Florence.

Deutsch: Polyptychon für Santa Maria del Carmine in Pisa, Mitteltafel: Maria mit Kind
This is one of Masaccio famous art works .This is called Deutsch: Polyptychon Fur Santa Maris del Carmine in Pisa, Mitteltafel: Maris mit Kind. Now i don't know what that means or say. But i think it has something to do with a mother and her child. This was made in 1426, 2 years before he  died.i am feeling the scene it seems Peaceful but yet weird. The people on the bottom look like creatures playing a instrument . the two creatures behind the chair i don't know what's on top of their heads. But its a nice painting. I like how the baby is whistling i suppose. The mother is caring it seem but yet worried at the same time i guess.

Renaissance

Artist: Botticeli ,Sandro
Years:1445-1510
Italy,Early Renaissanse

Sandro Botticeli was born in Florence in 1445, the fourth  child of tanner Alesssandro di Mariano Filipepi.
Botticelli went to work in the studio of Antonio del Pollaiolo, goldsmith, painter, and a sculptor whom he derived the elegant style that was to become a hallmark of his work. When 1470 came along Sandro had his own workshop.Five years later, he painted the porrait of Giuliano de 'Medici''.Which is in the National Gallery in Washington. Botticlli's painting gradually became bare and essential. He abandon decorative motifs details deriving from Flemish painting and sumptuous still lifes, and instead used vibrant colours and mediaeval composition in which perspective is intentionally ignored or overturned.Sandro Botticelli became Poor and Sick and died in Florence in 1510 at the age 65
This is one of his famous paintng called The Birth of Venus ,1485. i can tell it his something to do with Greek or mythology. Which is Cool. seeing the description he was aiming differently from a classical poet Hesiod instead of making Venus rise from the Sea he made he come up shore. I like this it's complicated due to the fact i don't really know whats going on even after reading about it. But i like the Art  of it

Renaissance

Artist: Belllini Goivanni
Years:1430-1516

Painter, Musican,Early RenaissanceVenetian painter,is most likely the best known of the Bellini Family of Painters, His father was Jacopo Bellini and his brother was Gentile Bellini. Giovanni focused was on religious subjects, rather then the boost of popular classical subject matter. Andrea Mantegna was a influence in his work, the guy that becomes his brother-in-law.His most important  contribution to art lay in his experimentation with the use of color with the atmosphere in oil painting his style of painting is ''sensuous and colouristic his style''. He work on a historical painting for the Doges palace 1479 until his death

I like this because of how he painted it. You can see Jesus dead emotion. You can see the angels on the Side of him all worry and wanting him to  wake up. For this guy to be in the 1400's to have a great seeing of such of a visual. the body dead color . It's like a pale but some life spots at certain area. He gives you the idea of what was it like.

This Artist came from Long Beach,California. What i think about his Art Style? I think its Extremely hard to Do Art on a person body when they would move alot or they want a certain image and the Artist must perfect it at that moment. Like this Picture i have shown you i like how this type of art is not on Paper or non living object. Its real and you can see that he is focusing and it is coming out Great. How he is using his instrument and making body art. The design is epic to me also.

First entry

Why to study art? It is fun and interesting seeing people creative  from realise to fantasy. It's all one big master piece to me i have seen art before and use to say''aah you suck at drawing''..and etc.But then i look at the history of Art ever since i Join this class and You can't really judge Art.i am a underground Artist my self.Sometimes i do doubt myself when looking at other artist and i see my level is not up to theirs. I must remember not to judge art But if i can grab some attention with it. then i did a Good job. So i gain appreciation for Art. I will cherish it.also being in this class will make me even more into it. It is good to know the origins.l knowing the histories of the legends in the art game.Rest in peace to all of them!
I love anime and manga. Thats  the Type of genre i like. The rest of the genres to me are ok. but when you can make a fantasy create and draw them with non human powers or etc..Thats impressive sine we see real life stuff everyday. You would like to go out the box once in a while and to me That what  anime does in my life.I do anime and manga type Drawing myself. i got this awesome story i can't wait to put out.But whats holding me back is that i am busy alot. But yeah i don't really have a favorite artist. But its some Artist that just hit me with their drawing thats how i want mines to be kind of like. For ex the creator of this story name Bleach. It's a anime and manga and i am Really impressed with it. Far as the drawing and how realistic and fantasy the characters look.
